The celebrations were started at varsity Head office after the arrival of honorable Rector, Dr. Naveed Malik, Principal Officers, Advisers and distinguished guests on the account of a cricket match at 3:00 PM. The match was played on December 4, 2011 at Model Town Whites Cricket ground. It was a 30 over contest. After winning the toss, Telenor bated first and scored 205 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. And in reply VU faced stubborn resistance from Telenor but manage to achieve the target with the loss of 8 wickets.
